ABOUT
Keegan is an Associate at Terra Law LLC. He graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2019 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2021. Since getting called to the bar, he has worked on a diverse range of matters related to matrimonial and corporate law.
He is now part of the Real Estate and Collective Sales team and directly assists the heads of the firm’s real estate practice.
WORK HIGHLIGHTS, representing:
- Acted for the Respondent in an appeal to the High Court and drafted the Respondent’s Case in successfully defending against the Appellant’s appeal against the Family Justice Court’s decision on the care and control of the child of the marriage and division of assets.
- Acted for the father in WBC v WBD [2022] SGFC 23 and successfully defended against the mother’s variation application to reverse the current orders for sole care and control arrangement of the two children of the marriage from the father to her.
- Represented clients in multiple successful mediations at the Family Justice Courts that facilitated an amicable and mutually beneficial outcomes for both sides, resulting in the settlement of the dispute.
- Represented and advised clients in multiple successful applications involving child maintenance, guardianship and adoption.
- Drafted various matrimonial agreements, such as pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, deeds of separations, deed of reconciliations and wills.
- Acted for a leading Asia-focused private equity firm based in Singapore (with approximately US$3.8 billion of assets under management) in the restructuring of their investment projects.
- Drafted various corporate agreements, such as shareholders’ agreements, sale and purchase agreements, share subscription agreements and memorandums of agreement.
- Provided corporate secretarial work such as the drafting of Annual / Extraordinary General Meeting papers, director and shareholder resolutions on the change of company officers, share capitalization, as well as issuance of company dividends.
